Declutter USA is a one-of-a-kind donation center and pickup service that takes items from your doorstep and finds each of them a new home. We’ve helped hundreds of clients, and saved thousands of items from landfills. And we’re just getting started.
Hi! I’m Mason, and I started Declutter USA.
Declutter USA was born in Bozeman, Montana, my hometown. I started the business because it was close to impossible to donate stuff in Bozeman. Thrift stores were overloaded, donation centers were closing, and I knew I could help. A dumpster is no home for perfectly usable items.
In my first few months in business, I completed hundreds of pickups, dealing with thousands of items. I forged relationships with small businesses and individual resellers in Bozeman, selling items to them and donating carloads of stuff every week to non-profits and thrift stores.
When it was time for me to go back to school, I knew I had to find a way to continue operating the business. Now, just a couple of months later, Declutter USA is serving four cities and employs 15 (and counting) independent contractors, who pick-up and redistribute used items themselves.
